Fees & Insurance
Below you’ll find session fees, insurance information, and details about your rights as a client.
Beginning therapy is a meaningful investment in your wellbeing. My goal is to make the process feel clear and straightforward, so you can focus on getting support.
Session Fees
Free 20-Minute Consultation
I offer a free 20-minute consultation call for all new clients. This gives us an opportunity to briefly connect, discuss what’s bringing you in, and determine whether working together feels like a good fit before scheduling your intake session.
Initial Intake Session (75 minutes): $250
Our first session gives us time to slow down and really understand what’s been weighing on you. We’ll talk through your history, your current challenges, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy — without feeling rushed.
Ongoing Therapy Sessions (50 minutes): $200
Sessions are typically held weekly at the beginning of treatment to build momentum and consistency. Frequency may be adjusted over time based on your needs and goals.
Payment
Payment is due at the time of service. If using insurance, copays and deductibles are due at the time of service.
I accept all major credit cards and HSA/FSA cards.
Cancellation Policy
Appointments are reserved specifically for you and scheduled in advance.
A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Changes can be made through the client portal or by texting 713-344-0368.
Notice provided between 24–48 hours will result in a $50 late cancellation fee.
Notice provided less than 24 hours before the appointment, or a missed appointment, will result in the full session fee.
Insurance does not cover late cancellation or missed appointment fees.
Insurance
I am in-network with the following insurance providers:
Blue Cross Blue Shield
Lyra (EAP)
Optum (through Alma)
Aetna (through Alma)
Cigna (through Alma)
If your insurance is not listed, you may still choose to proceed as a self-pay client.
Coverage and benefits vary by plan. I encourage clients to contact their insurance provider directly to confirm mental health benefits, deductible amounts, copays, coinsurance, and any session limits prior to beginning services.
Out-of-Network Benefits
If I am not in-network with your insurance plan, you may choose to use out-of-network benefits.
Upon request, I can provide a monthly superbill that you may submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement.
Reimbursement rates vary depending on your specific plan.
Good Faith Estimate
Under the No Surprises Act, clients who are not using insurance have the right to receive a written “Good Faith Estimate” outlining the expected cost of services.
You may request a Good Faith Estimate before beginning services or at any time during treatment.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill.
For additional information, please visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
If you have questions about fees, insurance, or using out-of-network benefits, please feel free to reach out.
