Fees & Insurance
Below you’ll find session fees, insurance information, and details about your rights as a client.
Beginning therapy is a meaningful investment in your wellbeing. My goal is to keep the financial aspect of treatment clear and consistent, allowing you to move forward with clarity and confidence.
Session Fees
Free 20-Minute Consultation
I offer a complimentary 20-minute consultation call for all new clients. This gives us an opportunity to briefly connect, discuss what’s bringing you in, and determine whether working together feels like a good fit before scheduling your intake session.
Initial Intake Session (75 minutes): $250
The first session is extended to allow time for a comprehensive assessment, to understand your history, and to clarify your goals for therapy. This dedicated time ensures you are not rushed and that your concerns are taken seriously.
Ongoing Therapy Sessions (50 minutes): $200
Sessions are typically held weekly at the beginning of treatment to build momentum and consistency. Frequency may be adjusted over time based on your needs and goals.
Payment
Payment is due at the time of service.
I accept all major credit cards and HSA/FSA cards.
Cancellation Policy
Appointments are scheduled in advance and reserved exclusively for you.
A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Appointments may be canceled through the client portal or by texting 713-344-0368.
Notice provided between 24–48 hours will result in a $50 late cancellation fee.
Notice provided less than 24 hours before the appointment, or a missed appointment, will result in the full session fee.
Insurance does not cover late cancellation or missed appointment fees.
Insurance
I am in-network with the following insurance providers:
Blue Cross Blue Shield
Lyra (EAP)
Optum
Aetna
Cigna
(Optum, Aetna, and Cigna plans are managed through Alma.)
Coverage and benefits vary by plan. While I make efforts to verify benefits when possible, I encourage clients to contact their insurance provider directly to confirm mental health benefits, deductible amounts, copays, coinsurance, and any session limits prior to beginning services.
For plans managed through Alma, benefits are verified through their system and claims are processed accordingly.
If you do not see your insurance listed, you may choose to proceed as a self-pay client.
Out-of-Network Benefits
If I am not in-network with your insurance plan, you may choose to use out-of-network benefits.
Upon request, I can provide a monthly superbill (receipt for services) that you may submit directly to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement.
Reimbursement rates vary depending on your specific plan.
Good Faith Estimate
Under the No Surprises Act, clients who are not using insurance have the right to receive a written “Good Faith Estimate” outlining the expected cost of services.
This estimate includes anticipated charges for non-emergency services, including psychotherapy.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill.
You may request a Good Faith Estimate before beginning services or at any time during treatment.
For additional information about your rights, please visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
If you have questions about fees, insurance, or using out-of-network benefits, please feel free to reach out.
