FAQS

Have questions about working together?

Here are some of the most common questions I get. If you don’t see yours, feel free to reach out.

  • Therapy can be helpful if you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally stuck, or simply not like yourself. You don’t need to be in crisis or have a specific diagnosis to begin.

Many people start therapy because they want greater clarity, steadiness, or support during a challenging season. If you’re unsure whether it’s the right step, I offer a free 20-minute consultation so you can ask questions and determine whether moving forward feels like a good fit.

  • The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, what you’re hoping for, and I’ll ask a few background questions to better understand your story. You’re always welcome to ask questions, too. My goal is to make sure you feel comfortable and supported from the start.

  • That’s more common than you might think. Many clients come into therapy knowing how they feel, but not necessarily how to put it into words yet. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin — we simply start where you are.

  • Online therapy takes place over secure video using a HIPAA-compliant platform. All you need is a quiet space, a solid internet connection, and a device with a camera. You’ll receive a private link before each session — no apps to download or tech hurdles to jump through.

Many clients find virtual sessions just as effective as in-person therapy (and easier to fit into real life).

  • At this time, I offer therapy exclusively online. This allows for greater flexibility and accessibility, whether you’re at home, in the office, or simply trying to fit support into a busy season of life.

  • Yes. Many insurance plans cover virtual therapy sessions similarly to in-person care. Coverage and copay amounts vary by plan, so I encourage clients to verify benefits directly with their insurance provider prior to beginning services.

  • Most clients begin with weekly sessions to build consistency and momentum. Over time, frequency may shift based on your needs, goals, and what feels sustainable for you.

  • There’s no one-size-fits-all timeline. Some clients work with me for a few months, others for longer — it really depends on your goals and needs. We’ll check in regularly to make sure the pace and direction feel right for you.

  • Yes. Your privacy is taken seriously.

What you share in therapy is confidential and protected by law, with a few specific exceptions (such as concerns about safety). We will review confidentiality in detail during your intake session so you feel clear and informed from the beginning.

  • I’m based in Texas and licensed to provide online therapy for adults living in both Texas and Florida. Because sessions are virtual, you can attend from the comfort of your own space.
