FAQS
Have questions about working together?
Here are some of the most common questions I get. If you don’t see yours, feel free to reach out.
-
I’m based in Texas and licensed to provide therapy for adults living in both Texas and Florida.
-
Online therapy takes place over secure video using a HIPAA-compliant platform. All you need is a quiet space, a solid internet connection, and a device with a camera. You’ll receive a private link before each session — no apps to download or tech hurdles to jump through.
Many clients find virtual sessions just as effective as in-person therapy (and easier to fit into real life).
-
At this time, I offer therapy exclusively online. This allows for greater flexibility and access, whether you're at home, in the office, or anywhere in between.
-
Initial intake sessions are $225 (75 minutes). Ongoing sessions are $200 (45–55 minutes).
Some clients choose to pay privately (out-of-pocket) for therapy. This gives them more privacy, flexibility, and control over their care — without the limitations that can sometimes come with using insurance (like diagnosis requirements or session limits).
Payment is due at the time of each session.

Yes — I’m currently in-network with:
Blue Cross Blue Shield
Aetna, Cigna, and Optum (through Alma, a secure provider network I partner with)
If you're using insurance through Alma, I’ll walk you through the steps during scheduling — the process is simple and secure.
If you're planning to use insurance, I recommend checking your benefits ahead of time so you know what’s covered and what your out-of-pocket costs may be.
For clients using out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement.
-
The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, what you’re hoping for, and I’ll ask a few background questions to better understand your story. You’re always welcome to ask questions, too. My goal is to make sure you feel comfortable and supported from the start.
-
There’s no one-size-fits-all timeline. Some clients work with me for a few months, others for longer — it really depends on your goals and needs. We’ll check in regularly to make sure the pace and direction feel right for you.
-
As part of your rights under the No Surprises Act, you’re entitled to a Good Faith Estimate that outlines the cost of your care. This estimate will be provided before we begin our work together. It is meant to help you plan and avoid unexpected expenses. You’ll receive more details during your consultation or first session.
-
I ask for at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Sessions canceled with less than 48 hours’ notice may be subject to the full session fee.

Let’s talk. I offer a free 20-minute consultation so you can ask questions, get a feel for the process, and see if we’re a good fit.
